Herbert R. Eriksen, 68, of Dows, died Sunday (Sept. 24, 1995) at Community Memorial Hospital, Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. James Lusher officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Watson-Beach Post #523 of the Dows American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Elledge Funeral Home.

Herbert R. Eriksen was born June 25, 1927, in Dows. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Bakker of Clarion and Shari Osier of Des Moines; three sons, Kerry Eriksen and Paul Eriksen, both of Dows, and David Ericksen of Rowan; four grandchildren; one sister, Sonja Kniesly of Omaha, Neb., and one brother, Robert Eriksen of Dows. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Norman.
