Leo Smith, 80, died Monday (Sept. 25, 1995) at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Currier and deacon Nick Schmit officiating. Burial will be in the St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Tenold Funeral Home where there will be a 2:30 p.m. rosary by the Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of America and a 7 p.m. scripture service.

Leo Smith was born Feb. 21, 1915, in Belmond. Survivors include his wife, Lynna, of Belmond; one daughter, Sandy Anderson of Belmond; one son, Lee Smith of Lake of Ozarks, Mo.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight sisters; and seven brothers. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
