Ella Mae Williams, 90, of Eldora, died Monday, April 17, 2000, at the Eldora Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be held Thursday, April 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eldora with burial in the Jackson Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. Memorials may be directed to the Iowa Children's Home in Ankeny or the Eldora First Baptist Church.

Ella Mae was born May 10, 1909, in Union, to Charles and Emma Strauss Cook. She married Lester "Jack" Williams on Feb. 3, 1930, in Grundy Center, and they both graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1941. She served in the children's ministry in her husband's churches in Belmond, Bloomfield, Goldfield, Guthrie Center, Grinnell and Manning. They retired in 1975. She was also very involved with the Iowa Regular Baptist Camp at Clear Lake. She is survived by a stepsister, Rosalie Krieger of Spring Valley, Minn., and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1985; two brothers; a sister; and a stepbrother.
