Jane Moore, 98, of Hampton, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at the Hampton Care Center. Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hampton United Methodist Church with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Rev. Wilbert Trushiem will officiate.
Jane was born July 2, 1902, in Hamilton County, to Albert and Myrtle Adams Meyers. She attended country school at Dows. On Feb. 15, 1923, she married William Moore in Webster City. Jane was a member of the Hampton Methodist Church where she was very active; WW I Auxiliary; Senior Citizens; and her church circle. She enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Trafford and husband, William, of Mesa, Ariz.; four sons; William and wife, Mary, of Mason City, Richard and wife, Lisa, of Independence, Eldon and wife, Monica, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Larry and wife, Janis of Waterloo; a sister, Alberta Kennedy of Hot Springs, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jerry and Donavon; four sisters; two brothers; three grandchildren.
