Harold F. Tripp. 90, of Iowa Falls, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at the Morgan United Methodist Church, rural Dows, with burial in the Morgan Cemetery. Rev. Dave Gobeli will officiate.
Harold was born Sept. 25, 1910, in Hubbard, to John and Anna Praunge Tripp. He attended Hubbard Schools and on March 10, 1937, he married Addie Burkley at rural Geneva. He farmed in the Dows area and retired in 1985. He served on the Hamilton Township School Board and was a member of the Morgan United Methodist Church where he served as chairman of the Board of Trustees, an administrative board member; and had been on the finance committee.
He is survived by his wife, Addie; four sons, Darwin and wife, Norma, of Coulter, Marlyn and wife, Karen, of Dows, Arlin and wife, Rita, of Comanche, Okla., and Gordon and wife, Carol, of Des Moines; a daughter, Marilyn Disney and husband, George, of Clarion; 10 grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and two sisters. Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.
