March 21, 1916 - February 3, 2003

Lucille Miller, 86, of Webster City died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at the Hamilton Hospital in Webster City. Services were held Saturday, Feb. 8, at Faith United Methodist Church at Webster City with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Dows. Rev. Brian Carter officiated.

Lucille was born March 21, 1916, on a farm north of Dows to Rudolph and Beulah Steiff Rollene. She graduated from Dows High School in 1934 and on Feb. 20, 1944, she married Bruce Miller at the Morgan Methodist Church east of Dows. The couple farmed in the Dows-Goldfield area and moved to Webster City in 1972, where she worked for Fridgidaire for 15 years. Lucille retired in 1985 and enjoyed traveling on bus trips with her sister. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, the Webster City Senior Citizen Club and a retired member of United Auto Workers Local No. 442.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel Miller and wife Patricia of Raeford, N.C., and Michael Miller and wife Donna of Webster City; three grandchildren; two sisters, Fern Gorder of Dows, and Dorothy Dow and husband Robert of Oskaloosa; and two sisters-in-law, Patricia Rollene of Dows and Ruth Rollene of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Milo, Dale and Verl Rollene; two brothers-in-law, Raymond Gorder and Glen Miller; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Rollene. Foster Funeral Home of Webster City was in charge of arrangements.
