IOWA FALLS-Corrine Mae Christensen, 73, of Iowa Falls, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at the Metropolitan Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls, with burial in Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Rev. Don Preston will officiate.

Corrine was born Aug. 14, 1927, in Dows, to Don and Fern Carpenter Bridges. She was a 1945 graduate of Dows High School. On July 23, 1949, she married Volney Christensen at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. She had been a member of PTA, a Boy Scout den mother and was involved with Brownies and Girls Scouts.

She is survived by her husband, Volney, of Iowa Falls; a son, Merle and wife, Janet of Iowa Falls; a daughter, Trudy Iljazi and husband, Sam, of Iowa Falls; two grandsons, Kevin and Kyle Christensen of Iowa Falls; four sisters, Opal Fryslie of Webster City, Vivian Shaffer of Alto Loma, Calif., Donna Johnson of Jewell, and Helen Alverson of Dows; and a brother, Russell Bridges of Crestline, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Virgil and Eddie Bridges; two sisters, Eva Helm and Viola Bridges; and an infant brother. Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.
