IOWA FALLS-Ralph Aurther Collins, 87, of Iowa Falls, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Dows, with inurnment in the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Linn's Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.

Ralph was born June 5, 1914, at Hampton, to Warren and Amanda Shriner Collins. He graduated from Dows Community School in 1932 and attended the Iowa State University, herdsman course. On March 4, 1938, he married Adaline Kroll at her parents home in Hamilton County. They farmed south of Dows in Wright County and retired to Iowa Falls. He was a member of the Dows United Methodist Church and the Popejoy Lions Club.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Adaline, of Iowa Falls; a son, Bryce Collins and wife, Dora, of Popejoy; two daughters, Sharon Womac of Webster City, and Glenda Plant and husband, Thomas, of Philomath, Ore.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Mae Griffen of Iowa Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Fuller.
