John R. Roseland, 76, Lincoln, Nebraska, died Sunday (4/29/07). Born Feb. 12, 1931, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Bert and Beatrice Roseland. Owner/founder, Beatrice Motor Freight and Beatrice Freight Lines. Korean War veteran serving with the U.S. Marines. Member, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Lincoln Transportation Club, American Legion, Touch Down Club. Former teacher at Southeast Community College.
Survived by: wife, JoAnn; sons, daughters-in-law, Doug and Lisa, Orlando, Fla., David and Patty Roseland, Lincoln; daughters, sons-in-law, Becky and Greg Fleming, Lincoln, Ann and Tim McCoy, Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren, Brandon, Aaron and Nicole Roseland, Sara, Scott and wife Tory, Cory Roseland, Ryan and Josh Fleming, Taylor and Sam McCoy; brother, sister-in-law, George and Joan Roseland, Lake Manawa, Iowa; sister-in-law, Phyllis Roseland, Springfield; sisters, brothers-in- law, Virginia and Barry Kuhl, Omaha, Judy and George Lawler, Duluth, Ga. Preceded in death by parents; brother, David Roseland.
Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church 1200 S. 40th St. Burial: Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday, with family 5-8 p.m., Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A St. Viewing at funeral home only; no viewing at church. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, to the church in care of the family.
