Inger M. Weland, 109, Clarion, died on Saturday, May 13, 1995 at the Clarion Health Care Center.

Services were held Monday, May 15, at 1:30 p.m. from First Lutheran Church in Clarion with Rev. William Granger officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home of Clarion was in charge of the arrangements.

Kitty McCool was the organist and Gary Brandt the vocalist.

Casket bearers were Steve, Gary, Dennis and David Michels, Ronald Engleby and Dr. Robert McCool.

Inger was born March 11, 1886, in Story County and was the daughter of Charles and Jori Anderson. The Family moved to Wright County where she grew to womanhood. In 1905, she married Burt Weland at Clarion. They first farmed near Holmes and then moved to Eagle Grove where he worked for Ellsworth Truck Lines and Gilbert Need Implement. He died in 1960. Inger spent winters in Arizona and lived for a short time with her sister in South Dakota before moving to Southtown Apartments. At the age of 100, she entered the Clarion Care Center.

Survivors include three daughters: Clara Martin and Ruth Ohlfest, both of Tucson, Arizona and Doris Michels of Clarion; 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother; four sisters; and infant daughter; five sons; one daughter; two grandsons and one great-grandson.

Inger was a member of First Lutheran Church.
