Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 6, 1976 for Grant Jergensen at the First Lutheran Church in Clarion, Rev. Oliver Johnson officiated at the services. Organist was Wayne Ebert. Songs were sung by the congregation during the service.

Casket bearers were Cliff Downing, Douglas Dean, Jerry Whitehurts, George Riekens, Roger Trettin and Larry Granger.

Interment was in Rosehill Cemetery at Eagle Grove with the Eyler Funeral Home in charge.

Grant Jergensen was born on Feburary 7, 1899, at Evergreen Community, Wright County to Gudmun and Julia Jergensen. He passed away at the Community Nursing home in Kanawha on April 3, 1976, at the age of 77 years and 2 months.

Grant Jergensen was married on June 5, 1934, to Inez Midland of Eagle Grove, Iowa. He lived his entire life in Wright County, first as a farmer near Clarion and Kanawha, Iowa, and later retired to a home in Clarion, Iowa.

Grant Jergensen is survived by a son, Philip of Culver City, California; one granddaughter, Cathy, of Culver City, California; two brothers, Ben of Spirit Lake and Jess of LuVerne, Iowa; five sisters, Jennie Larsen of Vincent, Clarice Crum of Des Moines, Bernice Nerem of Renwick, Violet Jergensen and Rosetta Middleton of Eagle Grove.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Inez, who passed away on August 26, 1965, his parents, Gudmun and Julia Jergensen, four brothers, Albert, Clarence, Lenard and James, two sisters, Julia Amosson and Stella Natson

Grant Jergensen was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Clarion and an active leader in 4-H in the farming community of Kanawha.
