Marjorie J. Wiegand, 72, died Wednesday (Dec. 27, 1995) at her home in Belmond. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Currier and Deacon Nick Schmit officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Ewing Funeral Home, with a 2:30 p.m. parish rosary and a 7:30 p.m. wake service.

Marjorie J. Wiegand was born Dec. 19, 1923, in Lake View. Survivors include her husband, Carroll Wiegand of Belmond; one daughter, Jean Langstraat of Ankeny; three sons, Glenn Wiegand of Appleton, Wis., Lou Wiegand of Dubuque, and Paul Wiegand of Ames; four sisters, Dorothy Bogue of Wall Lake, Helen Weller of Manning, Janet Boom and Judy Anderson, both of Lake View; one brother, Bill Phillips of Red Wing, Minn.; 10 grandchildren;and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one grandchild.
