Harry Boelman, 87, the son of Ben and Ella (Eckhoff) Boelman was born Sept. 7, 1908 on a farm near Belmond. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Reformed Church, eservey, with the Rev. Rodney Meester officiating. Burial will be in the Meservey Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Tenold Funeral Home, Belmond, with the family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services. He attended rural schools through the eighth grade. He was united in marriage to Luella Dorenkamp on Jan. 29, 1937. Harry was a member of the First Reformed Church in Meservey and served as an Elder and Deacon on the church consistory. Throughout his life Harry enjoyed farming and later worked for a lumberyard in Belmond. After retirement he enjoyed tending his large garden on the farm. Harry died on Monday (Dec. 25, 1995) at his home in rural Belmond.

He is survived by three sons, Verlyn of Belmond, Arlyn of Ogden, and Allyn of Algona; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Herman
(Hannah) Modderman of Hampton, Mrs. Grace Johnson of Meservey, and Mrs. George (Emma) Wessels of Belmond; one brother, Donald Boelman of Tucson, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Luella; infant daughter, Harriet; his parents; two sisters, Rena and Alice; and four brothers, Henry, Ben, Andrew and Clarence.
