Clarence W. Queary, Son of Mr. Edwin Queary was born in Wright County, Iowa on February 15th, 1902 and died May 31st, 1919, aged 17 years, 3 months, and 16 days. His death was caused by a strike of lightning while working in a field driving horses disking. Clarence had spent most of his life in Renwick but with the family had remvoed to their present home near Livermore and at the time of his death was working near LuVerne.

He leaves to mourn his sudden death his father, one brother and one sister besides many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Baptist Church at Renwick, conducted by Rev. Nicholson of Goldfield. Singing by a young ladies quartette. There were beautiful floral offerings, one especially beautiful piece by the young men of Livermore and of the neighborhood. After the services the body was laid to rest in the Vernon Cemetery.
