Charles F. Heiden

Charles Fred Heiden, 88 of Dows passed away at the Clarion Memorial Hospital in Clarion Sunday morning [9 August 1964]. He was a retired farmer from Vernon Township. He was born December 8, 1875 at Dows, son of Fred and Marie Harbrecht Heiden. He is survived by one brother, Herman Heiden of Dows and a large number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held Wednesday at two o'clock at the Vernon Lutheran church southwest of Dows with burial in the Vernon Township cemetery. The Rev. Charles Schultz officiated. The VanHove funeral home was in charge. He was a Supervisor of Wright County for 12 years and served on the Vernon church board 27 years. Pallbearers were his nephews: Archie Graber, Fred Graber, Herbert Heiden, Leo Heiden, Lawrence Beyer and Harold Beyer.
