John "Jack" Wagner, 83, of Rowan, died Friday (June 21, 1996) at the Belmond Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Calvary Baptist Church, Belmond, with the Rev. David Pestel officiating. There will also be funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Chancellor, S.D., with the Rev. Harold Gruber and the Rev. David Pestel officiating. Burial will be in the Chancellor Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Tenold Funeral Home, Belmond.

Jack Wagner was born Dec. 4, 1912, at Chancellor, S.D. Survivors include two sons, William Wagner of Belmond, and Joel Wagner of Wethersfield, Conn.; one daughter, Jonell White of Belmond; a stepson, Dennis Otten of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three stepdaughters, Dolly Beyer of Belmond; Kaye Hawley of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Barbara Freeburg of Kansas City; two sisters, Margaret Meyer of Belmond, and Sophie Heeren of Chancellor, S.D.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, his second wife, an infant daughter, one brother and two sisters.
