Albert McCleery Succumbs Friday

Funeral services for Albert McCleery, 78, who died Friday forenoon at a Ft. Dodge hospital, were held Monday afternoon at the United Presbyterian church, with Rev. C. G. McKnight officiating. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery. Mr. McCleery had been ill only a few days at his home in Eagle Grove where he had lived since retiring from farming a few years ago. He was taken to the Ft. Dodge hospital Wednesday forenoon. Born in DeKalb county, Ill., he came to Wright county in 1902 where he engaged in farming all his life with the exception of 13 years spent in Canada and at Siloam Springs, Ark. In recent years he had farmed northeast of Eagle Grove.

Surviving are his two daughters, Jeanette McCleery of Eagle Grove and Sarabelle McCleery of San Francisco, Calif.; three brothers and one sister. His wife and one daughter preceded him in death. Mr. McCleery had been a life long member of the United Presbyterian church, and became a member of the Goldfield congregation in 1902. He was the senior member of the session. Members of the session and inactive members were honorary pallbearers.
