Mrs. Arthur (Bob) Mayer Dies in California

Word was received Friday of the death of Frances Norris Mayer, 62, who died at her home in Santa Monica, Calif, of a heart attack. She had lived alone. Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Catholic Church of St. Joseph the Worker in Canoga Park, Calif. Mrs. Mayer was born to Mr. and Mrs. E. C. (Fussy) Norris of Clarion. She was raised in clarion and attended St. John's School and was a member of St. John's Church. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1923. She was married in Clarion to Arthur (Bob) Mayer in 1924 and they lived in Clarion for a time and moved to several towns in Iowa before leaving sometime in the '30's for California. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, LeRoy and a sister, Evelyn. She is survived by two brothers, Clair Norris of Eagle Grove, and Robert Norris of Council Bluffs and a sister. Sister Mary Ernan, St. Teresa College, Winona, Minn., and three grandchildren. Mrs. Mayer visited the community a year ago in June to attend the funeral of her mother, Mrs. E. C. Norris, who died while a resident of the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove.
