Betty Jean Rust, 68, of Goldfield, passed away Monday (May 29, 2006) at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion, Iowa. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Betty Jean Legreid was born Feb. 7, 1938, in Forest City, Iowa, to Clifford and Doris (Elfson) Legreid. She was raised in Garner and Clear Lake and received her education in Clear Lake. Betty married and moved to Oregon where she raised her three children. She later moved back to Clear Lake. Betty remarried John Sieh and lived in Clear Lake until they divorced and she married Jerry Rust and moved to Goldfield where she lived until the time of her passing. Betty enjoyed horses and water fountains.

Betty is survived by her three children, Jimmy Dean Foster of Phoenix, Ariz., Kathy Luella Foster of Vancouver, Wash., and Michael Roy Foster of Clear Lake, Iowa. She also has six grandchildren, Angie, Missy, Keith, Josh, Sunner and Jessy. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Dewey Groath.
