BELMOND — Jonathon Craig Nelson, 2-day-old son of Patrik and Ann Nelson, was born on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1998, at the Clarion Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion. This very special angel stayed long enough to touch many hearts before returning to Heaven on Aug. 14, 1998, at the University Hospitals in Iowa City. He will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. John Murray officiating. Interment will be in the Belmond Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Tenold Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to service time at the church on Tuesday.

Those left to cherish time spent with him are his parents, Patrik and Ann Nelson of Belmond; sister, Bridgette Nelson of Belmond; maternal grandmother, Mary Kay Nelson of Belmond; paternal grandparents, Dean and Diane Nelson of Goldfield; great-grandparents, Jewell Cunningham of Goldfield, Ardith Michelson of Goodell, and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pals Jr. of Belmond; aunts and uncle, Deana Nelson of Goldfield, Amber Nelson of Belmond, and Lorell and Shane Bailey of Goldfield; and two cousins, Heather and Patrick Bailey of Goldfield. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, Danny Nelson; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Shahan, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis "Craig" Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Nelson, Daryl Cunningham, and Lola Pals; and one aunt.
