Carl Robinson Long, 83, of Corwith, died Tuesday (Jan. 5, 1999) at the Kanawha Community Home, Kanawha. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Corwith, with the Rev. Caroline Engelbrecht officiating. Burial will be in the Corwith Cemetery.Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Corwith.

Carl Robinson Long [formerly of Eagle Grove] was born May 31, 1915, in Corwith. Survivors include his wife, Emily, of Corwith; his children, Carl David Long, of Postville, and Sherrie Dobson, of Chaska, Minn.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alice C. Lederer, of Sun City West, Ariz. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one great-grandson.
