Cleone G. Martinson, 83, of Eagle Grove, died Thursday (Dec. 7, 2000) at the USA Healthcare in Clarion. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove, with the Rev. Paul Rothfuz officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.

Cleone Geneiva Martinson, 83, of Eagle Grove, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at USA Health Care Center in Clarion, Iowa. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove, with the Rev. Paul Rothfuz officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.

Miss Martinson was born Sept. 15, 1917, in Russo, N.D., the daughter of Matt Andrew and Marie Elizabeth (Huser) Martinson. She was raised and educated in Fairview, S.D. She moved to Sioux City in 1940. She moved to Eagle Grove in 1967, where she was employed as a sales clerk with Knutzon's Gift Store. She was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church, Samuel Lutheran Church Women, circle and the church council.

Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Snedeker of Eagle Grove and LaVonne Dooley of Radcliffe, Iowa; a brother, Clifford Martinson of Denver; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Martinson; and a sister, Pearl Paulson.
