Ren Griffith, 78, died Saturday night at the Rotary Ann Home for the Aged at Eagle Grove. He had been a resident there for the past seven months. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Sandvig Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, with the Rev. Arthur W. Anderson of the Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Born at Clarion, Mr. Griffith had resided in this area all his life except for two years spent at Waterloo. In 1915 he married Sylvia Ann Therman at Waterloo. She died in 1954. Mr. Griffith retired from farming several years ago and moved into Eagle Grove. Surviving are three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Ralph MacMahon of Waterloo, Mrs. Gerald Smith of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Clarence Steffenson (?) of Clarion, Roger of Webster City and Gerald of Hubbard, nine grandchildren; two brothers and a sister, Earl of Waterloo, James of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Leo Tarr of Sacramento, Calif.
