E.W. "Bill" Schumpp, 72, of Fort Dodge, formerly of Clarion, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2004 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 24th at 2 p.m. at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Home in Clarion. Edward William Schumpp was born March 30, 1931, the son of Edward A. and Mayme (Rier) Schumpff in Clarion. He was raised in the Clarion and Harcourt areas, graduating from Harcourt High School in 1950. He farmed in the Gowrie and Harcourt areas for most of his adult life. Bill is survived by his uncle, Walter Schumpp of Mason City and three cousins, including Bob Rier and wife, Pauline of Clarion; Beverly Melhus and husband, Kenny of Eagle Grove; Betty Rumme of Des Moines.
