Harold F. Johnston, 50, died on Monday, August 25, 2003, at his home in Goodell. Graveside services were held on Thursday, August 28, at the Graceland Cemetery near Rowan. Arrangements were handled by the Dugger Ewing Funeral Home in Belmond.

Harold was born on July 18, 1953, the son of Wallace and Ellen (Suntken) Johnston. He attended schools in the Belmond area. He married Leilani Aldrich in 1996 in Garner and they lived in Goodell where he was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his wife; sons, Matt Johnston of Iowa Falls and Alex Johnston at home in Goodell; daughter, Annie Bachman; step-sons, Colin (Tara) Steenhard of Belmond and Casey Steenhard of Pensacola, Florida; his parents of Belmond; sister, Lanae (Mike) Walrod of Latimer; and brother, Clarence Johnston of Clarion.
