Stephen Lee Fuller, 56, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 30, at the Tenold Andrews Funeral Home in Belmond, with Deacon Nick Schmit from the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church officiating. Interment was in the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Belmond. Casket bearers were Matt Fuller, Josh Fuller, Jim Fuller and Geoff Fuller.

Stephen was born on January 21, 1947 in Belmond, the son of Sumner G. and Carrie D. Fuller. He was baptized at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Stephen was employed for many years with the Story County Development Center in Ames. He was a senior employee at the time of his retirement in 2000. He had a life-long love of flowers and music. He is survived by his brothers, Ronald (Sue) Fuller of Bourbanais, Illinois, Greg (Kathy) Fuller of Wichita Falls, Texas and Denny (Barb) Fuller of Minoqua, Wisconsin.
