Henry J. "Hank" Iverson, Jr., 90, of Dows, died on Friday, January 24, 2003, at the Hampton Care Center. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 28, at the First Lutheran Church in Dows, with interment in the Alden Cemetery.

Henry was born on April 10, 1912 near Dows, the son of Henry and Anna Marie Severson Iverson. He married Audrey Ione Sowl in 1938 at Northwood. They farmed near Dows until retirement in 1975 when they moved to town.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha Hegland; and a brother, Stewart Iverson, Sr. He is survived by his wife; brother, Andrew (Francis) Iverson of Fort Dodge; sister, Helen (Arne) Christofferson of Eugene, Oregon; and four nephews, including Sen. Stewart Iverson, Jr. of Dows.
