Jerry Toby Jurgens, 90, Hampton, died March 14, 2006. Services were held March 17 at Zion Reformed Church, rural Sheffield. Jerry was born October 18, 1915 in rural Latimer, the son of Toby and Stena Koenen Jurgens. He married Adeline Rave in 1940, and they farmed in Franklin County.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Lloyd and Calvin; and sister Thelma Dannen. Survivors include his wife; sons Ronald (Marjorie) Jurgens of Belmond and Harlin (Mardie) Jurgens of Latimer; daughter Mariann (Doug) Munk of Sioux Falls, SD; brothers Paul (Marie) Jurgens of Latimer and David (Dixie) Jurgens of Marion; sisters-in-law Dorothy Jurgens of Thornton, Freida Jurgens of Belmond and Louise Sorenson of Dell Rapids, SD; and brothers-in-law Otto Dannen of Latimer and Art (Ordia) Rave of Dell Rapids.
