Lowell Jerald Larson, 84, Lawler, died June 3, 2006. Services were held June 6 at Immanuel Lutheran Church -Crane Creek, with Rev. Vincent Fricke officiating. Interment was at Crane Creek Cemetery near Lawler.

Lowell Jerald was born October 30, 1921 on the family farm near Olaf, the son of Joseph and Ruth (Richardson) Larson. He graduated from Belmond High School and began farming with his family in the Kanawha area. He married Eleanora Dannen of Iowa Falls on February 26, 1950 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple resided on the Larson home farm near Kanawha. Lowell purchased a farm northeast of New Hampton in 1953. Lowell is a lifelong cattle and grain farmer. In 1995 he semi-retired from farming, but continued to help his sons. Over the years Lowell had served as a Jacksonville Township Trustee, Crane Creek Church treasurer, Farmers Co-op board member, and was on the Jacksonville Township Election Board. He was a member of the Chickasaw County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed livestock auctions, playing cards, having coffee at Little Turkey and Lawler, visiting with family and friends, spending time with grandchildren, and watching his son Jeff race stock cars.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, and grandson Jared Larson. Survivors include his wife; children Kathleen Jo (Ronald) Turner of Dysart, Gary (Deb) Larson of Saude, Tony Larson of New Hampton, Deborah (Daniel) Fulks of Cedar Falls, Jeff (Debbie Ann) Larson of New Hampton, Pamela Larson and Phillip Standiford, Jr., of Clear Lake, and Kimberly (Robbie) Hilmer of Dysart; grandchildren Kelly Larson, Erik Larson, Kurt Larson, Trina Larson, Charlie Fulks, Gabe Fulks, Eli Fulks, April (Sean) Singewald, Emily Larson, Benjamin Larson, Dustin Lars Elin, Katie Hilmer and Bobbi Kay Hilmer; great grandson Samuel John Singewald; step grandchildren Ronda Egbert, Tristi Shipper and Travis Turner; brother James Russell Larson of Kanawha; sisters Marian Ernst of Belmond, Doris Shear of Kanawha, Clarice Yarger of San Diego, and Joann (Cornelius) Betten of New Hampton.
