Dies Thursday
Memorial services for Mrs. Fred W. Pohlman, 70, were held Monday afternoon at the Clarion Congregational church, with Rev. Ray Steakley conducting the service. Burial was in the Clarion Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Minnarose Pardun played the organ and Mrs. Howard Berry and Mrs. Wayne Ebert sang two hymns.

Minnie Rose Pohlman, daughter of Jelske and Henrietta Cramer, was born in Wall Lake township, Wright county, Jan. 25, 1880. She died at a Des Moines hospital; on Dec. 28, at the age of 70 years and 11 months. She was a member of the Congregational church in Clarion and of the Sisterhood of that church. On Sept. 1, 1902, she was united in marriage to Fred W. Pohlman, a resident of Lincoln township. To this union were born six children. The living children are: Jelske Clair Pohlman of Clarion, Edna Viola Martin of Clarion, Etta Anna Sann of Blairsburg, Clara Hattie Sann of Clarion, and Violet Irene Reddick of Clarion. Four grandchildren survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, a sister Anna, and a brother, Wesley. She is also survived by the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Harry Heikens of Spencer, Mrs. J. G. Groenwald of Everly, Herman Cramer of Clarion, Ernest Cramer of Webster City, John Cramer of Clarion, Mrs. W. L. Meyer of Blairsburg, Jelske Cramer of Blairsburg, Mrs. Joe Loyd of Clarion, Ray Cramer of Clarion. Mrs. Pohlman has lived all her life in Wright county, where she and Mr. Pohlman were engaged in farming all their married life until their retirement in recent years.
