VIVIAN GERALDINE DILLAHUNT
Vivian was born August 26, 1921 in Belmond, Iowa. She passed away November 19, 2006 in San Diego, California. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She moved to San Diego, California in 1943 and worked at Convair. She joined the First Lutheran Church, where she met Stewart (Dilly) Dillahunt. They were married in 1946. While raising her four children, she was very active in PTA, youth sports, and scouts. She loved to travel and make friends all over the world. Over the last 30 years she has helped feed the homeless every Friday at First Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dilly, her daughter Sharon and husband Joel Castro, sons James Dillahunt and wife Debie, Howie Dillahunt and John Dillahunt. Grandchildren: Janelle (David) Cameron, Joel, Stephanie, Julie, and Molly Castro, Travis Dillahunt, Drew and Brian Dillahunt and their mother, Leslie. Step-grandchildren: Chris Wheat, Stacey (Shannon) Coulter, Elisa (Jeremiah) Ketchum, Matt Dalton, and step great-grandchildren: Kaleb, Jaden, Samantha, and numerous friends. Pre-deceased by daughter-in-law Linda Dillahunt. A celebration of her life will be held Friday November 24th at 1 PM at First Lutheran Church, 1420 3rd Avenue San Diego. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to 3rd Avenue Charitable Organizations, C/O First Lutheran Church, 1420 3rd Avenue San Diego 92101.
