Margaret E. Barz, age 57, was born at Dows, Iowa, February 27, 1907, the daughter of Henry L. and Lottie E. Meryhew Oleson. She passed away Wednesday morning, August 5th 1964, at the Mercy Hospital in Mason City after a short illness. She was united in marriage to Herb Barz December 15, 1926 and lived in Dows and Rowan communities throughout her married life. She is survived by her husband Herb, 4 children, Robert and William Barz of Dows, Mrs. Robert (Irene) Kehler of Fairmont, CA and Mrs. Jerry (Bertha) Aldrich of Alden; her father Henry L. Oleson, one sister Deloris, Mrs. Richard Schmidt of Joyce and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother (Lottie E. Meryhew Oleson) in March of 1964 and one brother, Robert Henry Oleson. Funeral services were held Saturday August 8th at 2:00 p.m. from the Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wm. O. Niles officiating. Pallbearers were, Herman McGinnis, Allen Boyington, Ernest Story, Gene Sturgeon, Wendell Jones and Roy Johnson. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
