Margaret "Peggy" (Jorgensen) Sanow, 68, of Remsen, died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. The former Margaret Jorgensen was born May 14, 1938, in Eagle Grove, the daughter of Donald & Phyllis B. (Nilles) Thorn. Her stepfathers were Roy Jorgensen and George P. Nilles. Peggy was raised in the Eagle Grove area and moved to Remsen in 1956. She then attended Remsen High School. She married Larry Sanow Dec. 26, 1956, in New Albany, Ind. They made their home in Remsen. Peggy worked at Bedel Pharmacy, worked in the bakery at Majeres Food Town and finally at Remsen Apparel for several years. Peggy was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Remsen.

Survivors include her husband, Larry E. of Remsen; one son and his wife, Don and Carla of Lexington, N.C.; two daughters, BobbiJo McLevish and her fiancé, George Hubbard of Morgantown, Ind., and Robin and her husband, Cory Weiler of Remsen; seven grandchildren; Damon and Holly James of Lexington, N.C., Kaitlin and Sarah McLevish of Morgantown, Ind., Taylor, Alexandra and Travis Weiler of Remsen; three sisters, Sharon Henson and her special friend, Dave of Ogden, Utah, Sandy and her husband, Tom Augustine of Remsen, and Royetta "Snookie" Jorgensen of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Phillip and his wife, Val Jorgensen of Rochester, Minn., and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfathers; grandparents; father-in-law Lester Sanow; two grandchildren, JoLynn Sanow and Travis James Weiler both in infancy; and two nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fisch Funeral Home in Remen, with the Rev. Diane Meisner and the Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Friends may call anytime after 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen
