Dorothy "June" Mulford, 75, of Eagle Grove, died Thursday (July 10, 1997) at her home after a lengthy illness with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of Christ, Hampton, with the Rev. Mark Young and the Rev. Chris Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery, Hampton. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, and continue from 10 a.m. until service time at the church on Monday.

Dorothy June Moore was born on June 2, 1922, in Shell Rock, the daughter of Earl and Minnie (Lursen) Moore. She attended school in Geneva, before graduating from Hampton Community Schools in 1940. One March 27, 1944, she and Lloyd Mulford were united in marriage in Hampton. The couple resided in Iowa Falls before moving to Eagle Grove in 1951. She remained a devoted housewife and mother for her entire 53 years of marriage. She was a longtime member of the Park Church of Christ in Goldfield. She loved to knit, crochet and spend time at their trailer in rural Madison Lake, Minn.

Survivors include her husband, Lloyd of Eagle Grove; three children, Barbara Chambers and her husband, Bill, of Dows; Leon Mulford and his wife, Janice, of Charles City, and Sandra Mulford of Chandler, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Cindy and Chris Chambers of Dows, and Sarah and Danny Mulford of Charles City; one sister, Lucille Olhausen and her husband, Robert, of Auburn, Ind.; special friend, Sue Kirchhof of Chandler, Ariz.; five sister-in-laws; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents.
