MRS. RUTH BALL DIES AT AGE 84

Mrs. Bert (Ruth) Ball, 84, of 2 Fairview Homes, died in Kewanee Public Hospital at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19. [1978] She was born Aug. 24, 1894 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Michael and Margaret Howell Donegan. She married Bert Ball in February of 1921 in Galesburg. He died in 1961. Surviving are three sons, John Ball of Kewanee, John Williams of Oklahoma, and Kenneth Williams of Iowa; a daughter, Naomi Vonesh of London, Canada; 21 grandchildren; 22 great - grandchildren; two brothers, John Donegan of Prescott, Ariz., and James Donegan of Gates, Ore., and a sister, Mrs. Marie Hayes of Kewanee. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother, and a son, Maynard Lee Ball. Mrs. Ball was a member of the Visitation Catholic Church; Royal Neighbors; Kewanee Senior Citizens, and Women's Relief Corps. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the Cavanagh and Schunerman Funeral Home. Rev. George Remm will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
