Howard Leo SRIGLEY, 80, a resident of Benton County for 59 years, died at his home Saturday morning following an extended illness. The son of Henry Lee and Mary O'NEAL SRIGLEY, he was born Sept. 6, 1890 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, where he lived for 18 years before moving to Seattle in 1908. He moved to Oregon in 1912 and settled in the Alpine and Bellfountain communities. He married Winona G. PRICE of Corvallis on April 4, 1915. Mr. SRIGLEY farmed for many years and was a planerman for the I.P. MILLER Lumber Co. and McCREADY Lumber Co. He was a member of the Corvallis Elks Lodge No. 1413. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary six years ago. Besides his widow Mr. SRIGLEY is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lillian PRICE of Alpine, and several neices and nephews. Funeral services will be in the chapel of the McHENRY Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Father Charles S. NEVILLE of the Church of the Good Samaritan will officiate. Interment will follow at Bellfountain Cemetery.
