ERNEST LARUE, 69, RITES IN DOWS

Ernest R. LaRue, 69, a farmer in the Popejoy area died Wednesday at his home there. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 pm at the First Lutheran Church at Dows. Born August 19, 1894 at Dows, he was the son of Thomas and Margery Carpenter LaRue. He was married to Josephine Evans, December 5, 1917 at Clarion. Surviving are his wife, a son Maclyn of Denison; three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Mary Lou) Rasmussen; Mrs. Lee (JoAnn) Blanchard both of Nevada; and Mrs. Walter (Betty Jean) Schroeder of Williams. 13 Grandchildren, two sisters, Flossie Larue and Hazel Leach, both of Dows; two brothers, Lewis of Webster City and Dewey of Eagle Grove and an adopted sister, Mrs. Isabel Steenhard of Britt.
