Dorothea L. (Keller) Clinton, 86 yrs old, died Saturday, July 23, 2005 at the St. Patrick's Manor Nursing Home in Framingham, MA. She was the wife of the late J. Earl Clinton who died in 1967. Dorothea was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, daughter of the late Arthur E. and Mary Ellen (Keefe) Keller, and was a resident of Framingham for 62 yrs. She was retired in 1984 from the Dennison Mfg. Co. in Framingham where she worked for 13 yrs as a Paralegal in the Patent Department. Dorothea was among the first group of 400 commisioned officers in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) in WW II, where she served honorably as a Captain until her separation from the service in 1944. She organized National Recruitment Concerts with Glenn Miller and his Orchestra for the war effort. She loved to read stories, playing Bridge, her many friends and laughter. She contributed greatly and took little.

Dorothea is survived by 1 daughter Mary C. Garland and her husband Edward of Framingham; 6 sons, Dr. Joseph E. Clinton and his wife Mary Ann of Edina, MN, James M. Clinton of Raleigh, NC, Edward F. Clinton and his wife Gloria of Holliston, Thomas P. Clinton and his wife Linda of Upton, Paul W. Clinton of Daytona Beach, FL, Earl F. Clinton of Framingham; 1 brother, Arthur E. Keller Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Hickory, NC; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and mother of the late John A. "Jack" Clinton and Leonard F. Clinton and sister of the late Dr. John T. Keller. The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday July 26, 2005 at 10 AM in St. Stephen's Church, 251 Concord St., Framingham. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Framingham. Calling Hrs at the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham are on Monday from 4-8 PM. Memorial donations can be made to the American Lung Asso. of Middlesex County, 5 Mountain Rd, Box 265, Burlington 01803.
