Delmar K. Deischer, 80, of Clear Lake died of cancer Wednesday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery there. Mr. Deischer was born near Eagle Grove and had lived West Des Moines before moving to Clear Lake in 1983. He had farmed, owned a car dealership in Webster City, and worked for banks in Webster City, Marshalltown and Des Moines. He also worked in commercial real estate in Des Moines before retiring. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II and a member of Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge, American Legion and Shriners. He enjoyed golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth a son, Dennis R. of Blue Springs, Mo. a daughter, Penny L. Sandvig of Clear Lake a stepdaughter, Sherry Reisetter of Marshalltown a sister, Margie Moore of East Ridge, Tenn. four grandchildren a step-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City or Opportunity Village in Clear Lake.
