Pauline Catherine (Johnson) Williams, 81, 824 Balsam Avenue, Dows, died Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Hampton Health Care Center of cancer. Memorial Service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2006 at First Lutheran Church in Dows. Inurnment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Dows. The Rev. William Straka will officiate. Survivors include her husband, Clark; two daughters, Rella (Duane) Fanselow and Zella Charlson both of Dows; two brothers, Earl Johnson of Montezuma and William Johnson of Preston, MO; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Mark.

Pauline was born October 30, 1924 in Martinsburg, the daughter of Paul and Katie (Shafer) Johnson. She grew up in Hedrick and graduated from Hedrick High School. She married Clark E. Williams on July 4, 1945 in Oskaloosa. Pauline was in the Ice Cream retail business for 30 years.
