Lenora Virginia Conrad, 77, died Sunday, November 9, 2003 at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 12 at Adams Funeral Home in Ames, with burial in Gilbert Cemetery.

Lenora was born December 9, 1925 in Dows, Iowa, to Gerald and Vera (Davis) Whipple. She married Robert Conrad on January 6, 1952 in Hampton. Lenora was a homemaker and a linen worker at Mary Greeley Medical Center for 15 years. She is survived by two sons, Jason Conrad of Kelley and James Conrad of Story City five brothers, Wilbur Whipple of Hampton, Merle Whipple of Geneva, Roscoe Whipple of Dows, Virgil Whipple of Hampton and Verle "Butch" Whipple of Dows five grandchildren, Zachery, Benjiman, Joshua and Mike Conrad and Sheryl King and two great-grandchildren, Kory Conrad and Alex King. She is survived by her parents, husband and twin brother, Lorenzo "Bud" Whipple. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Adams Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
