McMICAN, Vivian M. "Vickie" - Of Frankenmuth, formerly of Flint, age 80, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 17, 2002, with her family at her side at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 10AM Saturday, April 20, 2002 at Community Presbyterian Church, 2505 North Chevrolet in Flint, Reverend Rashell D. Hunter officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Community Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8PM Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Vickie will be at the church from 9:30AM until the time of the service on Saturday.

She was born in Dows, Iowa on August 17, 1921. She married Reverend George McMican on June 5, 1942 in Fairfield, Iowa. Vickie was a very active member of Community Presbyterian Church, where George served as Pastor for over 30 years.By being an Elder, and a member of the Women's Circle and Christian Challengers Vickie retired from the Flint School System as a secretary for Washington School. Surviving are son, John of Frankenmuth; daughter, Ann and husband Jack Mould of New York; grandchildren, Benjamin Krapohl McMican, John B. McMican, Christopher Mould and Leah Mould; brother, Robert Welsh of Iowa; sister, Nita Snook of California; many cherished nieces and nephews; special friends, Fran and Howard McClaren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Reverend George B. McMican.
