Jozetta J. Dieser, 80, of Aurora, IL and former longtime Owatonna, MN resident, died on Sunday, March 17, 2002 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born June 5, 1921 in Dows, Iowa the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sturgeon. Mrs. Dieser went to a country school until her junior year when she attended Dows High School and graduated in 1932. After graduation, she lived with a sister, brother-in-law and family in Austin, MN and worked at the Hormel Company for many years. On October 10, 1942, she was united in marriage to George H. Dieser at St. Augustine Church in Austin and continued living with her sister while her husband was in the service until he returned in August in 1945. In March 1959 she and her husband moved to Medford, MN where they owned and operated the Dieser Hardware Store until March of 1970. They then moved to Owatonna, MN where Jozetta was a member of Christ The King Church of Medford, a charter member of Court St. Anns #1940 Catholic Daughters of America in Medford. In Owatonna she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Women's Council Ad and V.F.W. Auxiliary. She has resided in Aurora since January of this year.

She leaves to mourn her one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Linda) Janes of Aurora, IL; one granddaughter, Kim (Kurt) Bentley of Aurora, IL; one grandson, Larry A. Larson of Oswego, IL; two great-grandson, Alan and Scott Larson; and she was a wonderful grandmother to Traci and Kurt Bentley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George H. Dieser; two brothers, Dale and Gene Strugeon; four sisters, Margorie Riegel, Elizabeth Langland, Henrietta Jenison and Delores Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. Services for Mrs. Dieser will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at 8:00p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home, Montgomery where friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00p.m. until time of services. Private burial will be on Wednesday in Lincoln Memorial Park. The family wishes in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimers Association of to the American Heart Association.
