Dorothy Emma Steinlicht McCord, 79, Pleasant Hill, died of cancer June 21 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines. A memorial service was held June 26 at Palmer Funeral Home in Rockwell City with burial at the Rosehill Cemetery there. Her body was cremated. She was born March 11, 1922 in Belmond. She married John Helland McCord in 1940. They lived in Belmond, Webster City, Iowa Falls, and Clear Lake. She moved to Pleasant Hill in 1999 to live with her daughter, LaVonne. She enjoyed crocheting and her flower garden. Survivors include her daughter, one granddaughter, and several great-grandsons.
