Tamara Lee Barkema Clifton, 35, died Wednesday, May 9, in the Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. She was a native of Belmond, and a BHS graduate of the class of 1984; was a member of the Immanuel Reformed Church; and was an insurance agent. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 12, in the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Powell officiating. Burial was in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery in Sylvania, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, Terald E. Clifton of Savannah; two step-daughters, Stormi Clifton and Erica Clifton, both of Bettendorf, Iowa; two sons, Taylor Clifton and Travis Clifton, both of Savannah; her parents, Byron and Sherry Lockman Barkema of Ely, Minnesota; two sisters, Tracy Colby of Villa Park, Illinois and Lisa Barker of Garner; one brother, Lonnie Barkema of Sheffield; her paternal grandparents, Lambert and Gen Barkema of Belmond; and several nieces and nephews.
