Idella “Sis” Ann Scott Brenny, 91, of Clarion, died Sunday, August 24, 2003 at the USA Health Care Center in Clarion. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, August 28th at St. John’s Catholic Church, Clarion. Fr. David Beckman and Fr. Albert Grendler were Celebrants. Burial was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Clarion. Services were under the direction of Willim Funeral Home of Clarion.

Idella “Sis” Ann Scott was born July 17, 1912 in Foley, Minnesota, the daughter of William Ward and Idella Ann (Voerding) Scott. She had one older sister, Mary Elizabeth and later was joined by a younger sister, Isabel Laura. She attended school in Foley, Minnesota and was married to John (Jack) James Brenny on July 27, 1931 in Foley. Following their marriage the couple lived at Mayhew Lake, Rice, and Litchfield, Minnesota and eventually settled in Clarion where Jack operated the Clarion Dairy. During this time Sis and Jack became the parents of four children, Gerald (Jerry), Carol, Phyllis and Michael (Mike). After her husband, Jack passed away, Sis moved to Sun City, Arizona for 25 years.

She is survived by her children, Jerry and wife, Delores Brenny of San Jose, California; Carol Schrader and husband, Owen Brenny of Bellevue, Washington; Phyllis Garcia and husband, Santiago of Johnston; Mike and wife, Jan Brenny of Okoboji; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and two sisters.
