David Leroy Amsbaugh, 41, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at his home in Clarion. Funeral services were held Friday, March 7th at the First United Methodist Church in Clarion. Pastor LaVonne Kaasa officiated at the 10 a.m. service. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. Willim Funeral Home of Clarion was in charge of arrangements.

David Leroy Amsbaugh was born March 24, 1961, the son of LeRoy and Marilyn Amsbaugh. He was baptized at the First United Methodist Church and attended Clarion schools, graduating in 1979. He enjoyed working with his hands and worked many construction jobs. He enjoyed camping as well as fishing. David is survived by his wife, Laurie; one son, Lucas; three step-daughters; Cassie, Shaylee and Mazy; mother, Marilyn Amsbaugh of Clarion; two brothers; Duane Amsbaugh and wife, Roxy of Urbandale; Tom Amsbaugh and wife, Laurie of Belmond; one sister, Susan Baer and husband, Tom of Malvern; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
