Clifford Dick Cea Woodin, 93, of Clarion, died Saturday, November 24, 2001, at the USA Health Care Center in Clarion. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 27th at First United Methodist Church, Clarion. Rev. LaVonne Kaasa officiated at the 1:30 p.m. service. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. Willim Funeral Home, Clarion was in charge of arrangements.
Clifford Dick Cea Woodin was born August 29, 1908 in rural Clarion, the son of John and Elizabeth (Cea) Woodin. He attended and graduated from Clarion High School. After graduation he spent time helping his father farm near Lake Cornelia. In October of 1929, Clifford was united in marriage with Elizabeth Archerd at First United Methodist Church in Clarion. The couple were the parents of three children and made their home on the family farm near Lake Cornelia. Besides farming and family, Dick spent his time as a member of various groups and committees. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, and the Senior Citizens Center (where he loved to play cards). Dick also served on the board of directors for the Clarion Co-op and belonged to the ASCS committee. Dick is survived by three children; Richard Woodin and wife, Harriett of Belmond, Judy Peterson of Webster City, Jerry Woodin and wife, Marilyn of Rodgers, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lela Court of Clarion and special friend, Regina Mosher of Clarion. He was preceded in death by his parents; three wives, Elizabeth, Velma and Marion; three brothers; one sister; one grandson, Jeff; and a great-grandson, Chris.© Wright County Monitor 2001
