Ronald Leroy Jergenson, 66, of Clarion, died Saturday, November 10, 2001 at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, November 12 at Willim Funeral Home, Clarion. Pastor Curt Miner officiated at the 2 p.m. service. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Willim Funeral Home of Clarion was in charge of arrangements. Ronald LeRoy Jergenson was born May 5, 1935, in Florence, Iowa (Wright County) the son of Sam and Helen Carter Jergenson. Ron grew up in the Clarion and Goldfield area where he attended country schools and Clarion High School. He was baptized and confirmed in Eagle Grove. After high school, Ron began working for Hagie Manufacturing in Clarion at the age of 19. He worked as a machinist at Hagie until his retirement. Ronald was united in marriage to Gladys Jean Sorenson on April 12, 1959 in Clarion. They later divorced. Ron is survived by two daughters, Wendy Conley and husband, Leland of Webster City, Lanette Watts and husband, Wayne of Clarion; two sons, Steve and wife, Juanita of Clear Lake and Jeff of Clear Lake; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mardell Lindstrom of Phoenix, Arizona and Bonnie Hill and husband, Kenny of Grundy Center; four brothers, Richard and wife, Norma of Clarion, Dennis and wife, Kathy of Humboldt, John and wife, Sue of St. Louis, Illinois, Randy of Omaha, Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, (Pee Wee) Lindstrom.
