Darrell Eugene Beavers, age 88, of Manly, Iowa, passed away on March 11, 2017, in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond, IA. The family welcomes you to join them at 9:30 a.m. until the service time on Saturday.

Internment will take place in the St. Francis Cemetery near Belmond.

Darrell is survived by his six children: Mary Katherine (Kathi) Rivard (Lee), Bernadette Ann (Ann) Juhl (Rick), Georgia Lynn Maguire (John), Thomas Arthur Beavers, John Patrick Beavers (Janet), and Roberta Jo (Bobbi) Helmers (Jim), 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He will be remembered by his siblings: Marilyn Payne (Gerry Almburg), Marlys Katuin (Marvin), and Dwight Beavers (Pat) and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Thomas Beavers and sister Janet Beavers.

Darrell was self employed as a barber and later worked for Winnebago Industries and North Iowa Area Community College.

He was a graduate of Belmond High School and honorably served in the United States Army.

His lifetime interests included hunting, fishing, golf and dancing. He was known to clear the dance floor and could remember people, places and details.
